For fun I sell jewelry and love to spend time with my son reading and doing science projects

Speech & Communications and English - Communication, Reading and Writing are key tools forever necessary in business.

What do you do for fun?

I volunteer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, play with my dogs at our farm, and go fishing on the Texas Coast.

Do you have any hints for girls as they select a career?

Don't ever let anyone tell you your dreams cannot be met. Try different carreer fields until you find something you're passionate about, and see yourself doing for the rest of your life.

Your favorite book to read over the summer?

Same Kind of Different As Me is my favorite read.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I really did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up and am still figuring it out. At one point I wanted to be a country singer, ice skater, judge, artist, and/or a writer.

What was the best course you took in school that helps you today in your career?

Statistics, art, and computer class.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy doing arts and crafts.

I would say for girls to follow their dreams.

I really like to lounge around the house and watch movies for fun. I also enjoy spending time with my children which involves, skating, dancing and going to the park.

When selecting a career, make sure to do the research. You want to select a career that you have a passion for. Although making a large amount of money is good, you have to enjoy what you do on a daily basis.

When I was younger, I wanted to be an oceanographer. I loved everything about the ocean.

What was the best course in school you took that helps you today?

I would have to say the best course that helped me in my current position was English in K-12 and Speech Communications in college.

What do you do for fun?

I rarely get to do what I like to do for fun, but when I get an opportunity, I like to paint. I like abstract art.

Do you have any hints for girls as they select a career?

I always recommend a career that you love, but always keep in mind you may need something to fall back on in case the love does not pay your expenses.

One of my favorite books, any time of the year is James and the Giant Peach, written by Roald Dahl.

Reading - There is a lot reading involved when trying to gather informative information for my clients, along with the different types of disabilities. It is my duty to inform and assist them with the information or refer them to the appropriate area.

I enjoy spending quality time with Family and Friends.

Remember to follow your dreams and know that you can be anything you want to be, just believe in yourself.

Whatever you decide to do, remember to keep your eyes and ears open for what lies ahead - around the corner - over the next hill - be open for change and be ready to take a risk and explore new areas that will broaden your world but, most of all, do what you love to do and do it well.
